The murals in the Palacio de Gobierno of Ciudad de Tlaxcala entitled “The history of Tlaxcala” were created 1956-2000 by Desiderio Hernandez Xochitiotzin.

This mural is gigantic, and literally fills a huge wall in the historic government building.  Even then, the detail is rich and complex and hard to decipher.  When this important portion of this beautiful mural was reduced to a 6″ x 12″ license plate background, it went from detailed art to overwhelming and illegible.
